Hi,
We have a Definity G3siV11 (R011i.03.0.526.5), with 2 PRI circuits for communicating with the world. The system was setup by an Avaya business partner for all of the appropriate 911 handling. Anyone can dial either 911 or 9911 from any phone and get connected to the local emergency services (we don't do any in-house alerting) and I can pull up records of these calls on our ancient 'CAS for Windows 2.1' system. But I cannot see these calls using the Definity 'LIST EMERGENCY' command.
My understanding of 'LIST EMERGENCY' is that it lists any "emergency" calls made in the last 24 hours. A few years ago we did some 911 testing to ensure it works in all the expected ways, (it did) but nothing showed up in 'LIST EMERGENCY'... And Yesterday afternoon, I heard a sitewide page calling for our in-house emergency response team. I jumped on the old CAS system to check to see if anyone dialed 911, and on the real-time 'Protocol' scroll I could see two entries listed as '911E' scroll by. Running a CAS report, I could see two outgoing calls that showed up as '911#'. And the calls went though fine.
My ARS entries are:
Dialed Total Route Call Node
String Min Max Pattern Type Number
11 2 2 200 emer (for 911)
and
911 3 3 p16 emer (for 9-911)
I tried the 'LIST EMERGENCY' right away, 20 minutes later, and also this morning (about 16 hours after the calls) but nothing ever shows up in the list. This doesn't affect our ability to make 911 calls, and I can still track them using the CAS, but I find it frustrating that I can't do this quick & easy check.
Does anyone know why the "LIST EMERGENCY" command might not show results? I'd like to try to fix this but I don't want to experiment blindly with ARS changes, etc because I'm afraid to break something, and 911 calling isn't something you want to change (or test) on a whim.
Thanks
