We have a CS1000 7.5 and CallPilot. Our office is seperated in several different buildings connected with glass hallways. Our city 911 center wants be able to identify what building a 911 call comes from. We all share 3 PRIs for incoming and outgoing calls. Our maintance provider says this is a big job to make this happen but I was under the impression it wasn't. Any ideas how to make outgoing 911 calls to ID differently down town?

Thanks.

I think your vendor is correct. I believe you have to lease/pay your carrier for Enhanced 911 cross referencing database. And, you would be responsible for maintaining that extension database. Your outbound caller ID from your PRIs are not going to be specific enough to determine which building/floor/department etc. With this cross-referenced database your emergency services will have whatever information you chose to provide for that specific DID, example "ABC Company, Human Resources, Bldg #1". Someone can correct me or provide a better explanation if I'm incorrect.

We found a doc from Nortel called Emergency Services Access that talks about routing outbound calls according to the phones IP address. We are researching that along with what our vendor called Zone Based Dialing to see if one of those will do what we want. Thanks for the reply.
