911 Call Alerting

My customer is looking for a third party devices that will enable the Noprtel 81C to send caller information to set(s) in the case where someone dials 911. Does anyone have any information on such a product?

you can buy enhanced 911 software from nortel (keycode) that sends that to a serial..

what exactly are you trying to do.. if i dial 911, or 9,911 you can send all the set information to any station on the system.. just a program change.. for your security to get information and the call to hit 911 dispatch you just need the keycode and the software build

John ever since ive been looking at these forums, long before i joined, you have been my secret idol, always answering questions, and answering them correctly! How do you find time!

Also at our site, i dont recall how i did it, (like most things) I put in a serial over ip (serial server) on one of the switch tty ports, i shut off all bug messages and what not, and put a terminal at our front desk with the other end of the serial server connected to our IP network. The front desk phone still had an OSN key to BUZZ the set but she could see way more info on the TTY (as well as other people can see not just limited to that one set).

Worked pretty well..
