911 Auto Record

could i create a rule that whenever someone dails 911 from the IPO (no particular release) that call gets RECORDED with VM PRO??

it would almost be like a auto conference to a set that was set to auto record?

not sure if it can be done

Setup an Account Code:

On the Account Code Tab:
The Account Code Field should contain a Reference Number (say 911)
The CLI field contains the dialled number upon which the account code is to trigger (in this case needs to be 911).

On the Voice Recording Tab:
The 'Record Outbound' Field should be set to 'ON'
Set the 'Auto Recording Mailbox' to say '2666 Joe Bloggs'

Now, whenever an extension dials 911 the switch will request the call is recorded, and the recording is delivered to 'Joe Blogg's Voicemail. 'Joe Bloggs' Could be a distribution list, with members setup for voicemail to email.

Hey Riddle - i did find another post you had about this... one issue tho - if VMPro is down - do 911 calls GO without the recording/event log?

Yes, unless you set it to "Mandatory" instead of "On"...so don't do that

FYI in R9 the system will raise an alarm in SSA and can email that alarm if someone dials a "Dial Emergency" shortcode

LOL - ok - i will probably forget to NOT do that or as i like to call it - the "D'Oh" factor

in 9.0 you can also set an alarm and get an email if someone calls 911 or any shortcode you have dialed as emergency.

for the recording there is an FAQ in this forum for it, just in case.
