Has anyone had to deal with 911 alarming indication? If somebody dials 911, I need to record who dialed it and when and alert certain stations that a 911 call has occurred. The Definity product line calls it "crisis alert" but need help with the IPO. I have a twinning solution that works but it is not good enough. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks.

No crisis alert in IPO but you could be clever and trap for 911 and send to vmpro for a post dial action. But then again for a guy with 23 threads started and no stars given you could search for an answer.

Pass.

Got nothing to do with being nice... vendor. Here I'll give you a star. Wow that was easy and I am not the one asking for help.

Although this is not the forum for this question but I have to ask. Did I upset you for some reason? Do I have to submit my Avaya resume' to you for acceptance?

if you get good answers then give people stars, easy it is the way to say thank you and give people the online stamina factor here.
stay away from anything that disrupts the 911 service except if the customer gives you in writing, checked by a lawyer, that they are fully responsible for all the deaths caused by a failure of the system and the 911 calls.

I enjoy every moment of it :)

Ya know what TD...your 911 build is good enough to turn into a faq. How about it?

I don't think any of the hit and runners read the FAQ anyway CarGoSki :)

I went with the twinning solution for now (against my wishes) but really want to try TD's idea. I had to interrupt the ARS 911 route and send it to a hunt group of 5 members. 4 of the members are now "alarm" stations and the 5th is an analog station with mobile twinning to 911 via a user short code. The alarm stations will have to inspect the call log to view the station that dialed 911. I did (and always do) check the FAQ link before my posts. I apologize if I offended anyone. CarGoSki and TomMills, thank you for the lesson on site courtesy. I will do better in the future.

Thank you all.

flyguy2, that wasn't a dig at you, I was just saying in response to cargoski's suggestion that writing FAQ's can be a waste as few people read them, there are no FAQ's that could have helpd you out. Another idea is to run a continual SSA/delta server log and that will be able to reveal who called 911 also :)

still no star for CarGoSki??? not any more, have a good weekend.

I know buddy, no worries. I only get the chance to post things here when I get home. I am a field tech and have to research when I get home. This is where I go when I need help and have exhausted all other possibilities. That includes the tech support from my Avaya distributor.
