I have been having ring problems on my Mod 80EX 9006.5 box after a recent upgrade. There is an RG on shelf 1 and an SIUX on shelf 2. Shelf 1/2 are connected via the ribbon cable to share the RG card. When the analog phones ring I get fragmented rings - almost like the ring cycle for the phone is out of sync with the output of the RG card - you can see the crest and fall of the power on the RG card via the LED and you can hear the ring relay kicking over on the analog card. Sometimes the ring relay clicks on when the LED is bright, and sometimes it clicks on when the LED is rising or falling and then you only get a partial ring - sometimes only a ping.
So I was having a discussion with the tech and he suggested I swap out the shelf power supplies, which I did (it's redundant, and I have spares in another switch). I also rolled the RG card and the SIUX card (also have spares). The last thing he told me to try was to add a separate RG to shelf 2. So I went in and deleted the SIUX and configured the slot for the RG, disconnected the ribbon cable so as not to have a battle between the 2 RG cards and tested it. That did not fix the problem either. I deleted the RG card and reconfigured the slot for the SIUX card. Now the system shows the SIUX card but the channels are showing up as not configured. I have ALL the documentation but have not figured out which AMO will allow me to add the channels back in. The tech, of course, doesn't know either because that's not a thing techs typically need to do....
Anyone that gets in deep with 9006 I would be happy to hear suggestions for either adding those channels back in or if you have ever had a similar ringing problem.
