Hello Guru's
I have a customer that utilizes there LAN say 172.16.2.8 IPO which is going to a corporate firewall and WAN 192.168.18.10 connected directly to a DSL/dry loop router/modem for SIP trunks DMZ.(Don't panic everyone it is secure!)
I need to pass thru Avaya one x portal and communicator, so due to the corporate firewall and IT not wanting us to. I need to go thru my WAN and be able to also install the communicator software on the local PCs. So do I need to be able to have LAN and WAN to talk to each other? and how can i do this?
If someone could share there sort of same scenario I would REALLY appreciate it!

cheers!

Best advice has always been to use LAN1 for that stuff. I'd say argue with IT.

SMB products like IPO are meant to do things a certain way. You'll pull your hair out trying to circumvent your corporate IT policies to get gadgets working. If you've got the legitimate need, build a business case.

Let's stop calling it your needs and requirements. It's your customers needs and requirements. They own the equipment they are asking for the functionality, they need to tell IT to do whatever is required to accomplish that, not leave it to you to argue their case. It's not for you or your benefit it's not your equipment or services. :)
