When logging in for the first time, you dial ext xxxx# then for pass#. It then asks for your new password (4 to 15 digits)when you enter a password that meets the complexity requirements it says password must be 4 to 15 digits. No matter what I try.

Intuity mode.
 
That's because you have complexity checked in system> voicemail
You can't use:
The extension number
Consecutive digits
Columns
Rows
Around the corners
Diagonals
Cross on the keypad
Reverses of above.
Two schools of thought on the subject:
1) use a complex pin like 13572

2) Remove the security minimum length and complexity.

In 10.1 it will be 'mandatory'.
In that i mean that you will be able to uncheck but the config will show an error until it is re checked.

A good technician does not merge configs with errors in them unless under controlled and prescribed conditions. An example may be where a user error notification (like ums web enabled but no license) has been resolved but the config needs to be reloaded after a merge to clear it from the list.

Errors leads to corruption. Corruption leads to fear. Fear leads to the dark side.
Before you know it, you're on the fringes of the industry and shipping grey market handsets to UAE from Latvia.

So we're either going to have to man up and knuckle down on passwords or start livin' life on the edge.

I removed complexity and the same issue persist. One thing I did notice last night is, when I dialed the password very quickly it would work sometimes. I then changed phones and it started working about half the time. Very frustrating. Almost like a dtmf issue but only in voicemail. Still trying to narrow it down. Large customer. [neutral]
