I have already seen a ton of threads about this, but hey, why not one more!?
The setup is this:
IPO with a combo card using a station port set as paging port> WMT-1a> customer provided amp> various paging speakers

The amp is a Realistic MTA-95. I have tried using every port available, but the paging will still not get as loud as the partner system they had before. Also, if I plug a partner handset into the 1416 phones, the paging is also louder!

thanks in advance for any help

Try connecting the station/paging port directly to the amp without the WMT-1A. I installed one this way last week and it works well. My amp was a Bogen TPU-100 though.

I also have the same low volume coming from the 9.0.3 software IPO 500V2 analog port going to a PagePac 6. The partner paged fine and out the output is low. I have one of these and have not been able to try it out yet but I think it should fix it. McGohan 1 Watt Amplifier MS-11 (1544240)

I am using 9.0.3 and a combo port. If I crank my amp to 10 it would blast your eardrums out from 100 yards away with grinding metal/welding/forklifts/etc going on at the same time.

I go through a UTI1. (The only reason I use this is because it cuts off the line once it detects silence, or else the speakers just hissssssss when no one is talking)
NOTE: Have to use a 600ohm resister across ring/tip with UTI1.

Then into a 70V amplifier.

Then into several of these.

Are you using 24V speakers. The ones with 4 wires? I have always found 70V speakers to be way louder.

I tried the V-1092. No dice. If anything, it is lower than the WMT-1a. If i try to connect directly to the amp without the WMT-1a, and try to page, it either rejects the call or rings busy.
Gus, let me know how that works.
Silicon, I have tried to use the UTI. I have tried the station port as IVR, station and paging speaker, and tried using a trunk port. the only way i can get it to not ring busy or rejected is with a paging speaker hooked up the trunk side of the UTI, and then i get no audio at all. If they crank their amp up past 4 it creates a squealing noise throughout the warehouse. the amp and all the speakers are existing.

Add an audio amp such as Radio Design Labs STA-1M. If low audio input is truly the trouble, this will fix it.

you need a 600ohm resister across the tip and ring or it will show busy.
took me 2 weeks to figure that out when I was first doing it.

The Bogen GA-2 1.5 watt utility amplifier works nicely as a pre-amp too.
It also provides the resistance the IPO sta/page port is looking for.

IPO sta/page port -->GA-2 -->Realistic amp -->speakers
