8X24 Upgrade question

I have a customer who would like to upgrade his 8X24 to a MICS, but he has the old M series sets. He told me that he was informed that his set will not work properly because they are so old.
Is this true?

Sounds like someones trying to sell them on getting all new T style phones. I have never run into any problems with using a MICS w/ M style phones.

I heard that the volume level's on the set might be effected.
These sets are 1900-1994 M series models.

so you have had no problems with this?

There is an issue with the Busy Lamp Field on Pre-Release 16 M7310 Sets on Norstar CICS/MICS 6.1 - THEY WON'T WORK! There are a couple of minor feature issues- only 4 levels of contrast as opposed to 9 (Rls 16+), and retention of set volume level. Other than that they will work.

If you set the volume setting to "system" instead of "set" in programming the volume change back after you adjust it. But no, I've had no problems.
