Hi

I have an old BT 8x24 (c1992) I've got set up with 6 lines and its working fine, but can't find external to external transfer in the setup anywhere. This would be ultrat useful. Any advice would be welcomed

Regards, Keith

PS anyone know where to download the 8x24 documentation, I only have the docs for a compact, compact plus and a modular

If you have Centrex lines you can have Link Transfer. This will allow you to press Link and then dial the external number and hangup to transfer a caller to another number outside your system. If it is external call forwarding that you want, no, you won't be able to do it. This is available on the MICS, CICS 4.1 and above.

If you are talking about an external call that you have answered on the 8x24 and now want to transfer that caller outside the Norstar, for example to a cell phone, you would press the transfer button or dial feature 70 then press an idle external line button then dial the phone number to transfer to and then release. That's one way.

I believe that at the DR level of software you can only do a trunk/trunk transfer by using feature 3 the "confrence/transfer" feature.
