Hi all,
I have a problem. Here is the senario. I have a customer who has all calls appear and ring at the main phone (221) then FNA in 4 rings to the lunch room phone (246), two back up extensions (242 and 236) up front have Answer DN buttons for the lunch room phone (246) so that when the receptionist isn't able to answer a call it will ring the other three phones.
When you IC 246 it rings the answer DN buttons as it should but when a call is forwarded from 221 to 246, it doesn't ring the answer DN buttons on 242 and 236.

This is the 2nd system where transferred calls do not alert the Answer DN keys..
Any suggestions ????
Thanking you in advance,

Answer DN's, when set to basic under System/features/ do not ring fowarded calls. Try changing this setting to extended. I am speaking of MICS/CICS, and I am only guessing that dr5 may have this feature also. With dr5 it may not be able to ring fowarded calls.

Yeah, the DR5 doesn't have that setting in its SW. I was trying to find anything that was remotely like that setting in the DR5 SW and came up with Zilch....

Ugly but you could put two external ringers on 246 in the locations of the other extentions. Cheaper than an upgrade to MICS for just one thing.
