8691SF support the 8648GTE blades?

I've only ever used those modules with 8692 CPUs, but I think if the software version that will support the 8648GTE runs on an 8691 it should be supported. Do I remember that there were memory upgrades that could be applied to the 8691s that allowed them to run a few versions of code beyond their default configuration?
