On a previous thread "could not find to quote from original" someone spoke of a dual processor 8600 chassis splitting the switch fabric load between CPU#5 controlling the left side of 48x100BaseTX blades and CPU#6 controlling the right side of same blade...My question is: Is this true for just the TX blades or is it true for the whole chassis...IE... should I be dividing my high traffic GBIC links on an 8x1000Base GBIC blade between the right and left side to balance CPU load for switching operations between the two CPU's?
Thanks in advance.

If I remember the whole thread you are talking about, that person's problem was that the 8600 SHOULDN'T be doing this. Only one CPU blade should be active at a time, controlling all slots in the chassis; I believe the thread you mention was a user finding that the CPUs were NOT fully switching over.
