8600 slave cpu

8610 with dual 8690SF's...slot 5 master, 6 slave.
Running ver 3.2.4.0...problem is I can't get a telnet session from 5 to 6. I know this has been covered before but can't find the answer. Never had this problem w/ 3.1.1.0.

I get:
Trying 127.0.0.6
Escape character is '^]'

Sorry, access denied.

Closed connection.

Forgot to mention:

flags telnetd true...on both blades.

If I am remembering right, this should help.

At a command prompt issue this command:
Show bootconfig net

Among the entries you should see:
net cpu2cpu enable true

If it's not set true then do so and re-boot the Passport when you can. This should clear it up.

Here's what I get when connected to slot 5:

net cpu2cpu autonegotiate false
net cpu2cpu bootp true
net cpu2cpu enable true
net cpu2cpu fullduplex true
net cpu2cpu speed 100
net cpu2cpu tftp 0.0.0.0
net cpu2cpu ip 127.0.0.5/255.0.0.0 cpu-slot 5
net cpu2cpu ip 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 cpu-slot 6

What's interesting is that cpu-slot 6 is not set to 127.0.0.6... If you console into cpu 6 with the com port you get:

net cpu2cpu ip 127.0.0.6/255.0.0.0 cpu-slot 6
net cpu2cpu ip 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 cpu-slot 5

So from cpu 6's point of view, 127.0.0.5 is not set.

Now w/ rwa, if you try to set either one you get:

"cpu2cpu ip address is read-only"

I'm lost here.
