Hello all , we have a default route on our main passport to our internet connection. it is obviously "destination 0.0.0.0" "next hop X.X.X.X"

we would like to be able to set another static route BUT on source address instead of destination.
I have heard other vendors can do this but I am not aware of any way with nortel,Any ideas guys ???
Thanks in advance

Can you clarify what you want? Are you saying:

If from source: 192.168.0.0/16 then route to 10.1.1.X/24?
(for example).
Also is the source network tied to a VLAN currently and if so where is the VLAN defined?

I think policy based routing will do what you want,
although I've never used it myself...
From the CLI it is "config ip route-policy", there is some information in the document "Configuring IP Routing Operations" on CLI and Device Manager configurations.

Hello Hungryhouse thanks for the reply yes we need to keep our default route 0.0.0.0 nxt hop X.X.X.X .
Then certain sources in our large routed network need to get to the internet via a seperate isp, so yes FROM 192.168.0.0/16 nxt hop Y.Y.Y.Y .We have 400 vlans and routing via 13 X 8600,s so all seperate vlans acrross the core.
Hope this explains it better,
Thanks
