8550 jam

replaced the drum assy in an 8550 i am now getting jams in the transfix roller area the cam moves into place then right back out before any paper can feed thru very confused as to why

it seems to be in time all holes line up during idle no teeth on gears missing but cam will not stay ingaged long enough to pull paper thru to exit


any help would be great

Why would you need to change a drum?
Clean the drum encoder. Seems like a timing issue.
Are the posts for the drive assy. broken?
