I need to change where 0 goes when they press 0 from a dterm.. I can't seem to figure out how to do that. They used to use a console, but now they don't and it may have something to do with that, but I can't seem to put a finger on it.

Check command 200>0>? If 0 is set to 801, then it is a single digit extension number. If you dial 0 and it rings a multiline phone or a button on a multiline phone, then it is programmed as an extension in the system. You can then use CMD E600 to call forward all 0 to any extension.
If 0 is 800 in CMD 200, then it is still programmed as an attendant phone. Change 800 to 801, then create a virtual extension in CMD 11. EX: 11>0100>0:EXE. This will program 0 as a virtual extension. Then use call forward all.

Wrong system! and It has been so long since I worked on one of these I can't remember the commands necessary for the big systems. I would guess that you have to delete it out in ASPA then create a single digit extension range for 0 in ANPD then assign it to a key on the Dterm with AKYD or forward it to the station you want it to go to with ACFS.

However I will leave it to belvedere to give the definitive answer.

Thanks for the info. OzzieGeorge is right on the system. It is an 8500. But that information on the 2000 was helpfull too. I recently was asked to change 0 on an 8300 and I was scratching my head on that one as well. It is funny for the length of time I have been working on 2000's and nec phone systems in general, 0 for the operator from a phone, is something I very very rarely mess with on 2000s and above. It is very common on key systems, but not on the pbxs

The idea is the same. Bring up ASPA for the digit 0. It should be set to 2 for attendant console. In ASPA, delete 2 for normal/hooking/busy. Go back into ASPA and set 2 for one digit station access (STN) for normal and hooking. Go to ASDT and add in station number 0 as a virtual extension. Virtual LEN numbers are in line groups 28, 29, 30 and 31. EX: 000280 - 000287. 000290 - 000297, etc to 000310- 000317. 001280 - 001317, depending on how many PIM units you have. Perform a LEN list out to find an available virtual len. Once it is assigned (tec 18), then go to ACFS and set the call forward V to wherever you want it to go.

Seems I'm not as rusty on the big systems as I thought. Still didn't get it all right though :-(

thanks for all the comments. I should have no problem doing what I need to do now. Thanks again.

Ok.. Ran into some problems. I should have mentioned this is Hotel/Motel. STN is not an option in AASP. I checked all ext ranges and they are all the same. Everything is SSC and SID 2. I can't use ASPA because of the Hotel/Motel. So, any other ideas?
