I'm using a card stock, 4x9. Printing quantities of 100 each time. After about 150 or so, it has a tough time "grabbing" the next piece. The grey, rubbery wheel just spins over the page. I give the page a little nudge and it will then feed through.
This happens regardless of the quantity of sheets.
We are in Denver and our laser (hp 4550) has a tough time with the low humidity and static issues. That room now has a humidifier and it works far more reliably. Could the rubber wheel be affected by static?
Could the paper too smooth?
Is there a way to clean the wheel? It does not look dirty, but I don't want to mess up the part with the wrong solution.
Does the rubber wheel lose its "tackiness" and need periodic replacement?
Anyone with this experience?
