8400 making snapping noise all night long

I have an 8400. It is making a snapping noise all night long. It wakes me up! It sounds like two pieces of plastic sliding under pressure every 15 to 45 seconds. Sometimes it will make a series of these snaps. Any ideas on how I can get some sleep?

For you to get sleep, maybe the printer needs some sleep...Is it going into "sleep" mode? If not, maybe you could change that, which may make it quieter.
