8300 Alog Media Module problem

Hi All, I have a s8300 running to G700s both local to it. One g700 has the T1/E1 modules in and the Alog ones are in the other. we can not get a Modem/Fax to work either out or in bound. The modems will answer and begin to handshake but not actually connect.

I Hope some on can help

Faxes should work

make sure you have the latest firmware on the boards, and turn on G711


as for modems, this will not work, due to avaya not support modem passthrough yet..

one work around is to put all the analog devices in the same G700 as the PRI is..

I've been told that the problem will be corrected in Communication Manager 2.1

FYI: CM 2.4 is already in development.

so 2.1 is the answer... any idea when its due out in the UK?

well 2.4 is going to be r13, so 2.1 is up in the air as far as a release date/issue. the updates for Avaya come out usually in May and in December.
