I have been asked to setup an office for a company. Here are the particulars:
2 nt 4.0 servers
10 nt/win9x workstations
DSL service
Every machine will have a 'real' ip address. They all pcAnywhere into their machines constantly. They also want to be able to eventually run IIS/Exchange on one of the servers. I asked them about a firewall but, they are not interested at all. One of the servers runs DHCP for the office.
I am looking at going with a 827 router with the ADSL interface.
I have worked on routers before but never set one up from scratch. That means someone else has always done the heavy lifting of setting up for me. What is the process and what is this, admittedly simple, setup going to look like? I saw a post that has a fairly well completed config for a 827 w/ADSL (posted by soupnazi) in another thread. I am hoping someone can point out the obvious things I need to change before I copy that config and then spend a couple of days scratching my head over why it won't work.
Oh yeah, what did I forget to add to this post that would enable an answer to this question?
Thanks in Advance.
Kelly
