this fault appears to have appeared after a powerdown.
three terminals are continually flashing their lcds, as if going thru set up, but don't get any further.

i am recomending a default + change battery or is this likely to be something more than a db corruption?
 
Try to isolate the fault to either a set or a port trouble.
If you are using DR5 or 5.1 turn off Set Relocation. Then move one of the non-working sets, Set'A', to a known working port, one that has a working set plugged in,Set 'B'. If Set 'A' initializes, then you likely have a port (or s/w) problem. If not, a bad set. Try Set 'B' in the port that Set 'A' was removed from. If Set 'B' works in that port, then the indication is also a bad Set 'A'
 
i just spotted this old post of mine!
the cure here was embarassingly simple: i made the user fit secondary bauluns instead of masters!
this has happened multiple times since on a range of switches.
therefore, first things first, check the baluns
