Hi guys, trying to figure out where the CLID comes from when IPC callers dial out through my 81c through Q-Sig card??
would need to change the CLID and been going through an awful lot of stuff on my PBX but can't find this.
Would be greatfull with some help. Thanks

Not many people will know you mean an IPC Trading Turret system. I would have thought the IPC system had a CLID setting. I guess I don't remember.

Thanks ghtrout, guess I took for granted about IPC - apparently, from the IPC tech, the CLID comes from my 81c, and still
can't figure out where!! guess I'll keep looking.
Have nice one!

Do you know what kind of IPC system your working with?
If it's a Tradenet MX system then the caller id info definitely comes from the 81c as the IPC system has no programming to control such settings. I used to work for IPC years and years ago and back then the programming on those things were pretty basic, although they may have changed these days.

If the CLID is from the 81c, then they would be set up with LD 15 under the CLID entries. To print the CLID tables use LD 22 .

It should print all CLID table.

My guess would be that the IPC system is using the connection between the 2 like a tie trunk where the 81c sees the IPC as an extension of itself.

Hi Splic3d - print is in ld21 for CLID and no, it's not there and IPC guys are positive about the fact that it's not
coming from their system. So where?

Sorry, just saw you post in the other forum. I see that you have already checked that. Could it be that the trunk provider is providing the CLID if it does not see a CLID that the 81c sends out for the 81c calls.

Splic3d, thanks. Thought about the provider doing this, possible but didn't get the response, or at least not a useful one.
If it was my PBX to send that CLID, would have to monitor outgoing calls, but only 1 way I know of is monitor the d channnel,
which isn't helpful in this case. Plain tracking is out of the question because no TN to track for the DN, but then again,
so much stuff to look through...
