So we have an old 81c that controls our Nortel queue phones. We also purchased a new Cisco Unity Connection voicemail system. Most of the voicemail boxes are tied to Cisco IP phones, but about 50 or so of the boxes are tied to the Nortel/ContactCenter queue phones.
All of the Nortel phones were working just fine with Unity, we just had to add a route pattern for the DN in UCM to get the MWI to work correctly. However, we added a new phone to the 81c, using an old DN. For whatever reason, we cannot get Unity to light the voicemail MWI correctly.
I added another 81c phone that is not part of any queue to see if I could recreate the issue. I was able to, but once I added that route pattern in UCM for the new test DN, the MWI works.
So what within the 81c could be blocking the MWI from functioning? We have compared settings on the TN itself and cannot find a difference between the old and new TN's. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
