Hi all,
I know that the version of Mercator I am using is antiquated buts its all I have to work with. I have been given the task of creating an 812 credit invoice for a client. Unfortunately, my company has cancelled out support contact with TSI 5 years ago so I am out of luck there. I am hoping someone here can tell me where I can find a sample of an 812 map that I might be able to convert for my application. The only maps that I am used to building are the 850 and 810 maps. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.
Thanks

TSI became Mercator years ago. Then Mercator was bought by Ascential and the product became DataStage TX.

If you have the correct ANSI tree, you can find the 812 in the tree. Contact the trading partner(s) and find out what they require in addition to the minimum described in the ANSI standards book.

The 812 is your output tree, then either use the ANSI input tree for the ANSI daya you have or if you are getting data from another source, either inport a tree for that or write your own. Ask for the business rules required for the company to produce a credit invoice. I assume someone has rules for the manual system they are using. Put those rules into the map to make sure the information is there and is correct.
Someone must have the specs for this map/system, if they don't, charge them for developing them.
