80C51, Divide 72000 dec By 20 dec

Hi,
I am trying to divide a decimal value between 1 and 72000 by the decimal value 20. I am using an 8 bit 80C51 micro.
I have the Numerator stored in 3 bytes and i am looking to divide this by the Denominator which is always 20.

i appreciate any help or suggestions you might have

Hi,

You have to do long division in the bit format. Instead of the usual long division in the tens, you have to do that in the twos and then translate the method into an algorithm.
