Hi I hope you can help. I have a problem creating a VPN and I'm not sure where the problem is. Here is the hardware setup I have.
I have a leased line from my ISP which is connected to a Cisco 805 router.
The 805 is in turn connected to a Cobolt Qube 2, which does all our Firewall and NAT.
The Qube is then connected to the LAN. The Qube has 2 NICS in it.
I have setup a Windows 2000 Server for the VPN.
When I setup the W2K server, which also has 2 NICS. 1 with an Internal IP address and the other with an External. I can ping the internal from the LAN and I can ping the external from the Internet. Which I think should be the correct way.
I then setup the VPN software, NOT then way Microsoft recommend, but by the Instruction I found on this site.
If I create a VPN connection from inside (LAN) it works fine, but when I try to create a VPN connection from the outside no traffic seems to be passed.
Is this a problem with....
Cisco 805
Qube 2
or
The setup of the VPN software.
Thanks in advance.
