I have an 803 which connects via negotiated ip to an ISP and then ultimately connects to the Peer VPN router (a 2611). We chose a 2611 as it has 2 x E0 ports. One port forms the tunnel and the other allows decrypted private addresses to be forwarded onto our network. with a private address. The tunnel aspect and process works fine but the 803 after it has idled timed out makes another call almost immediately even though no Application is active or any apparent ip match traffic is present. As the 803 is setup just to encrypt effetively all traffic i am assuming it is VPN traffic/issue. Can anyone advise if they have seen this before ? We use IOS 12.1.3.
