OK, Magix 2.5
Client moved from a T-1 that provided both local and long distance outcalling and incoming call capability for a T-1 taht only provides long distance capability.
I have routed the local calls to go over a pOTS line trunk group.
You make a local call - it works fine.
You make a LD call - it works fine
You try to make a 800 toll free call and the all cannot eb completed as dialed. You receive this message from the Telco.

What might be going wrong here?
I know that the old T-1 allowed them to dial without the using a 1 for LD calls. They have to use a 1 now to make the calls.

Is there a way to bypass this or trick the system? Is there a way to trick the system so that it can see that the call is a long distance call, route ot to the T, and make the call?

We will need to know what type of service is being provided.

Did it change to or from PRI?

Nope. Didn't change to a PRI. Just straight channels on a T-1.

I had that issue once when the client was using SPRINT.

I took care of that by routing 800 numbers (and all variations thereof) to the Local Lines.

Bottom line, I think it's your service provider, not the Magix, but you will have to fix it in the Magix.

Sigh, Yes, I talked to the vendor who stated that the T-1 cannot be used for 800 numbers. Rassin, frassin,.....

OK, now how do I route the 800, 866,888, 877, did I miss any over the local lines?
Do I create my own table?

Create an Area Code table, put 800, 888, 877, 866, 855, and 844 in it. Point it to your copper line pool, give it an FRL of 3.
