Not really sure how to pose this question quickly but I'll try

We have two providers currently MCI and Verizon both providers have assigned us an 8xx numbers along with the DNIS.
example
MCI DID MCIDNIS 8xx
646-227-1234 1234 866-232-4453

Verizon DID Verizon DNIS Verizon 8xxx
212-324-4321 9876 800-435-7654

The two above point to Concerto DNIS 5400
I have concerto and symposium

The question is. where is it controlled if lets say I lose MCI or Verizon or even concerto or syposium and need to reroute the traffic? Is the translation global or bound to a circuit? How is it I can have the switch or the 800 numbers routed to the equipment that is functioning and not lose the associated DNIS, thanks in advance

800 numbers can have backup routes configured by the provider... but as far as I know, only one backup route / number

that redirect is a provider feature, you can get access to the route block and do a reroute yourself on a 800 dnis. we have that on our major disaster lines. i use idc for those numbers so that i can point each number to any number i want. if you made 1234 a cdn acquired by symposium, and that server goes down, you can't, on the fly, do a simple code change and point it to an acd group.. if i take 1234 and turn it into 2345 and make that the acquired cdn, i could change the ld 49 idc and never touch the cdn, just point that idc to the same acd and lose the scripts and custom routing. BUT my 800 still gets answered while the cp server gets it's re-image or whatever it needs today. i have used that when a customer had a hot spare server, i built a script that would log in go to 49 and do a simple change, keeping the acd alive while a tech could roll up.

The rerouting we want to control VIA a web based program our provider has, this allows for the "ON THE FLY" routing to a totally seperate trunk group so thses calls are aswered the issue as I see it is If my symposium goes down and my concerto or if I lose a provider how would I have the switch recognize the assigned DNIS and route that accordingly to either program, since every 8xx number has an assigned DNIS to it how would I get the switch to recognize the lost DNIS and associate it somehow to the switch.I definitely appreciate the responses and forgive me for my total ignorance with this.

if you can change the route via a web app that the dnis is coming into. just put that dnis in an idc, xxxx in xxxy out, then add that idc table to every possible route. so if the local route never sees xxxx, it doesn't matter. when the web app changes the routing external to your switch, and send xxxx to the local route, that route will send it to the same cdn as the idc table in the normal route... i'm trying to follow your call flow, if i missed give me an example using numbers and rdb's plus cdn dest

DID I Leave anything out? Thanks in advance!

the app is controlling the idc table, the same way i suggested you do it. that does not change the inbound route, just the ring to target.. the idc posted turns xxx 6000 number to 7000 numbers, if you enter inbound 6 out bound 7, it does the same thing. just changes the 1st digit.
