800 DNIS won't ring phone goes to VMail 1

I have an AT&T Megacom trunk with 800 numbers coming in on it. I want one of the 800 numbers to come in to a specific extension and ring the phone and if no answer go to voicemail. The DNIS is 8550. I have made it a VDN to a vector that routes the call to the extension. It will not ring the extension it just goes to the extension's voicemail. I have taken the VDN out and made the DNIS an extension in my switch with a coverage path to the station, it will still not ring the extension it will go straight to that person's voicemail. I have put the DNIS in as a hunt group main number with a coverage path on the hunt group still does the same thing. What could be causing the DNIS not to cover once it hits my switch. The 8550 is a DID number and I can call it directly and it will follow the coverage path everytime. It will ring the phone and then go to the voicemail. What am I missing on this DNIS programming? Any help will be appreciated.
 
Can you perform this command:
list trace station 8550 (then make a test call)

See if it even hits that extension, it may be that the AT&T DNIS is setup on the wrong trunk? Do you know how to check if AT&T is routing that Toll Free number to the correct DNIS?

You can also do a list trace tac ________ Trunk access code for the trunk the 800 Megacom comes in on and see what's happening with the call...
 
Thanks Toni! I hadn't thought of doing a list trace. I will try it and see if that gets me some insight on what is happening.

List trace tac worked like a charm. The DNIS that AT&T was sending to was wrong. All is working correctly now!
