Are there any other test you can do on an 800 DID card besides the basics? You should be getting voltage from the ports correct? If so, how much? Thanks In advance.

Ken1713, I'd already read your post and had the tech onsite try those tests. We had the LEC on the phone as well, and they said they weren't seeing the switch, nor were they getting the wink and they showed a short on the trunks when they were connected to the switch. We checked and double checked the programming. That's why I wanted to know if the card itself should be putting out a specific voltage on each port. I'm thinking that the card is bad.

If you go off hook on your test set back at the d-mark and hear the wink (click click) and you can call an extension from there then your did card is ok and the wiring is good. If the LEC doesn't see the switch the it could be reversed. Your signaling has to match the lec, TT or rotary and your extension length has to match or you have to add or delete digits. Make sure the type under did is wink or immed matches also.

Didn't hear the click, we tried rolling the x-connect, which was the first thing I told him to try.

What Carrier, Slot & Port is this D-I-D card in?

You may have a problem with power.

You should at least hear SIDE TONE (TALK BATTERY) and then the clicks.

The card is in the slot three of the main carrier. I believe the setup is:

408-MLX
408-MLX
800-DID
MLM007

I was brought in to assist as there were issues with the install. I've actually never experienced an issue with cutting over copper DID trunks. First time for everything I guess. I'll verify the layout of the cards to be sure.

If your not getting the click then the co isn't either. Try doing the test right at the DID card with a test cord.If your getting the wink there then the trouble is in the wire.
