800 DID card

Got a customer with 3 analog DID trunks. They have complained that sometimes the DID calls do not go through. I have tested the voltage and on all 8 DID ports and it tests about 45 volts. Polarity and wink are fine. When I tested the TTR's though I could not break intercom tone for TTR 1 and 2. The other cards after it that have TTR's (TTR 3-8) tested good. Do you think I have bad TTR's in the DID card causing these problems or are there other things I should check? Also, do the TTR's in the DID card only service the DID analog trunks?

800 DID, 800 GS LS ID, Merlin Messaging, 012 with ring gen

2 TTR for 800 DID
2 TTR for 800 GS LS ID
2 TTR for Merlin Messaging????
2 TTR for 012 T/R with ring gen

TTR's are a System Facility, that is, they are shared.

However, since you identified a failure with 1 & 2, that points to your 1st D-I-D Module.

If the first and second TTR's are bad won't the customer have other problems like VM lights not turning off, transfers going to wrong ext, etc? I haven't heard of any other issues other than problems getting in on the DID's.

I forgot to mention I did have some DID interdigit timeout errors. Line provider has tested and said everything is ok.

I'll get another card shipped in and test again.

Merlin Messaging uses Rotary (pulse dialing) for MWI.

Yep, and that's why you have to set the Ports for Messaging to "Rotary Enabled".

And if you don't, MWL's don't update.
