Hi, I'm pretty sure I must be doing something wrong, but getting help from CA technical support always seems to be a final result of a headache. When I run our bricklevel backups on exchange (under 400 users) it's taking around 8 hours to complete this task. I was just wondering if anyone has any help on this situation, the best techincal support could tell me was shut off estimate time. Our system is NT4.0 SP6 exchange 5.5 SP4 Arcserve 6.61. The backup server is a dell poweredge 6400 and exchange runs on a 2450. Any help is greatly appreciated.

How big is your IS (priv.edb)?

8 hours sounds excessive for a brick level. Does it finish successfully after 8 hours?

Anything in the Arcserve log, Windows Event log or dbaxchg2.log that gives a pointer?

How long does a single (average size) mailbox take?
