I need to design a tri-fold brochure, and am very new to Quark. Can someone please tell me how I would go about setting up the document? I actually downloaded an 8.5 x 11 tri-fold template, so I think I can go from that. But my question is, how do I create this to get a full bleed on the front of the brochure? Also, I understand that Quark is different from Photoshop in that I need to save my fonts and pictures separately? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Simply place objects so that they bleed outside of the page guides. The rest is defined in the print dialog.

Advice? I would read the Quark manual or take an introductory class

Simply create a two page 8.5x11 quark doc. On page one (which will contain your cover and back of the tri-fold) the right two fold panels should be 3-11/16". The far left panel will be smaller to fold properly. Draw guides to help you place your art correctly. On page two the panels will be reversed.

extend your graphics and color .125" beyond the page border for standard bleed. And yes you will need to include all placed graphics and fonts used when you take your document to be printed.
