8.5 error!!!

Hi..
I am getting an error in VB..it hangs the program and gives an illegal operation..the error takes place in a prepare_report procedure to prepare my crystal report for vieweing....I upgraded to 8.5 recently...on 6 it worked fine!..the line is

M_Rpt.Database.SetDataSource Nothing
It is not taking the NOTHING..
cuz when I assign a recordset as in
M_Rpt.Database.SetDataSource rs .. it works fine!..what could be the problem!
i would appreciate it!
