I am running windows 2000 advanced server and a mac 5400 is running from it. The server gives it a DHCP address and has apple talk installed. Now when i start up my mac, it hangs but the DHCP already gave a address to the mac but i was wondering if maybe the appletalk wasnt connecting and just making it sit there? Well let me know what you guys think.

Thanks

Doug

That is possible. Do you have any disks set to mount at startup? IF so, your system could hand until it times out. If it never times out..that is.. it hangs permenently, trash your appletalk prep, appletalk preferences and file sharing preferences. See if that helps. Also, try rebuilding your desktop.
Best of luck,
PT
