7960 + SMS?

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick question. Does anyone know whether it is possible, as standard or as an upgradable XML component, to use 7960 deskphones to send SMS-style text messages to other users on the same Call Manager Cluster? I thought it would be interesting to investigate it's possible uses.

Anyone have any ideas?

As far as I know there are no features of thiskind in the standard callmanager software. However, you can use some script language like perl, asp or php to write your own script for the "IP Phone Service".
