We are currently runing a number of 7920's in a factory environment. We are using the Cisco 'Loud' ringtones, volume set to max, and set to vibrate.

These however are still a bit quiet. Does anyone know of any really loud ringtones for the 7920.

Cheers

Ray

Do you use f/w 1.08? It has some extra loud ringtones. When you combine them with outdoor profile should be fine for most enviroments. AFAIK it is the maximum loudness due to some compliance regulations.

Yes we have just updated the FirmWare to 1.08.

We are using the outdoor profile.

The only loud ringtones we have is
Loud Laser
Loud Classic ring 1
Loud Analogue Synth 1
Loud Chirp 1
Loud Chirp 2

Are there supposed to be more?

Cheers

That is all they have. If you are using this on the shop floor, then there really isn't much you can do. That is all they have. You can investigate hooking call manager into the loud speakers if you have them so that when a call comes in it is also announced over the speakers. This can be done using an analog line and a little research.

How are your 7920s working for you?

We run 3 here in our offices. We have spent a lot of time working on them and find them to be very reliable while standing still and somewhat reliable while roaming. 1.8 really helped out, but we get some interferance from neigboring offices who run 802.11b/g and an 802.11 bridge on our roof (not ours).

What is your expereince?

It is what it is!!

The 7920's seem to work really well. We are currently running two sites with about 45 handsets and about 40 AP's. (the sites are very big!)

There are a few niggles, the ring tones being one of them.
A shared address book has also been requested a number of times.

We have only just upgraded to the 1.08 firmware, so its a little early to see what difference that has made.

We get no interfance (we are in the middle of nowhere though).
