7914 Side Cars

I have a very weird problem... I just upgraded from 3.2(2c) to 3.3(3) and immediately after the upgrade two of the three phones that have side cars attached stopped acknowledging that they existed. The side cars do not light up, and the status on the phone doesn't even show them. If I 7960 out for another handset then the side car works just fine. Anyone have any ideas? I'm running P00305000500 software load on the handsets.

Did you install the Latest Service release for 3.3.3? It should be 3.3.3SR4a.

Yep CCM 3.3(3)SR4a on Windows 2000.2.5(SR7)

I'm running P00305000400 on my Phones and I had no issues when I upgraded. Try loading this firmware in one of your phone.

I just tried rolling the OS back to P00305000400 but that didn't work either. I've tried deleting the phone in CCMAdmin and rebuilding it without any luck either.

I don't know why, but after letting the phone upgrade back to the P00305000500 software load the sidecars came alive... very weird.

I had an issue like that were I had to downgrade before I could upgrade. I was upgrading the current firmware a firmware two steps above. I'm glad it's working.

I had heard somewhere that you needed to update the 7914 sidecart to the latest FW before upgrading the phone.
