7914 Expansion 1

Hi,
I can't get a 7914 to work/program.
We have Call Manager 4.2
We have a 7961 phone with a 7914 plugged in
The 7961 admin page has module 1 load name set to
7914 14 button expansion module
and the load name is given as S00105000200
The device default is set to this as well
I have a userid set up associated with the 7961 device.
From here I understand that once the user logs in they will see under speed dials that there is an area for the 7914 where lines/speed dials can be entered but there is no area listed.
The display on the 7914 only has lines next to the bottons.
Help would be appreciated thanks

Did you make changes to the button template for this station. The button template should accomidate the expansion module.

OK I tried that and created a new template called "7961g + 7914 expansion module" copied from an existing "Standard 7961G-GE" template and simply changed features up to button 20 to Speed Dial.
However the phones admin page will not list the template from the button drop down even though I have rebooted the phone.
Any ideas?

Did you try reloading the telephone admin page? If you added a new button template then it should be there.

Yes I did - the reason it didn't list it was because numb nuts here created the template from a "Standard 7961g-ge".
When I created a new "7961 + 7914" template by copying the "Standard 7961" template it appeared.
I don't know why it didn't appear after I created it from a 7961g-ge - they can't that much differert.
