How do I assign line 2 on a flexible key. I tried to find it using the joystick but must have missed it.

Also, when I put an incoming call on hold from this phone, it seems to put the call on exclusive hold. Is that a feature activated in the 824 programming or is it something I can change in the programming of the 7896?

Thanks, Bill

press program
press the co button
dial 0
dial 02 or maby just 2
press autodial store

usualy exclucive hold only whorks if hold button is pressed twice but i think there is a programming step to switch on permantly i will have to look it up

Thanks for the reply Peter, I'll check to make sure its set for type 1. I have a total of three 7896 phones and the other two are working fine.

Are your instructions for assinging a line on a flexible button for a PT or for the 7896?

Thanks again Peter, I've read the instrctions and see how to program the name of a function key but not how to assign a specific function to it, like Line 1 or Line 2.

Is this programmed in the PBX as a line assignment and then shows up on a specific key on the cordless?

Sorry for so many questions but I dont have any experience with the proprietary cordless phones on this system.

Thanks Bill
