My customer would like remotely change the "answer mode" of their 2 hunt groups. I have set up an auto attendant, called Mode, you can get to by dialing 9 off of any of my other auto attendants. This has 8 options programmed with short codes to change my 2 groups to either night or out of service. These options, 4 per group, can put both groups into or out of night/out of service mode.

My issue: When I dial the short codes directly, they change the hunt group to the chosen mode. When I navigate to this list through my auto attendants, all but options 3 and 4 have their intended function (these are the options to put the main hunt group in or out of out of service mode). I have confirmed again and again the short codes are correct but cannot figure out why only 2 of my options are not working. Not only do those 2 options not work, but after selecting them they have no effect AND I cannot make another selection.

I am new to Avaya. This is my first install after recently passing the basic installation and configuration exam. Please go easy on me :) Thank you for any help you can offer!

R 11.0.4.4 build 6 Running Essential Edition
The system is configured for 4 analog trunks and 16 digital extensions.

This is intentional they want you to buy Preferred Edition for this functionality. I believe at some point you could do this in Standard mode without VM Pro but it was "fixed" quite a while ago.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

Critchey, thank you so much for the quick reply. Good to know at least I was on the right track :) Short of upgrading, I suppose I have no other options?

Sadly, as far as I know, there is no work around. Avaya wants their Preferred Edition license money. If anyone does have a working work around I would love to see it.

Update! Instead of including all options in my sub-menu (put 200 out of service, put 200 in night mode, clear night mode on 200, clear out of service on 200, the same 4 options for 201), I simply modified the fallback destination for night on both groups to route to my user that forwards to my AA for bad weather. Instead of having 8 options in my "Mode" AA, I now only have 4 to put the hunt groups in and out of night service (for bad weather). Instead of them having the ability to manipulate another AA and answer mode (out of service) for holidays, I will just program time profiles for them.
The options on my AA now, for whatever reason, work when I only have 4 options. It is not clean (as Critchey said, this isn't SUPPOSED to work), as I have to call twice to put both groups in bad weather mode, but it does seem to work for now.

That is odd whenever I tried this, and I have tried it recently, it would not allow me to change the group fallback mode to OOS or NS. Hey if it works that is great though. Star for posting resolution.
