I was attempting to do the "error 33" fix on my 730 and I removed the entire unit, As I flipped open the metal "door", the hinges fell apart. The hinge consists of a brass ferule on one side and a piece of plastic with a long piece. I think I have the correct side for each, but brass piece is slightly longer on one side than the other. The plastic long piece; how exactly does it go?

Thanks for your help.

I figured it out. I don't believe it matters on the brass ferule, although I think it's marginally better to put the wider side in the frame.

However, the longer piece can be put in two ways. If you put it so its straight up when the flip-top is closed, it's backwards. Again, the only reason this matters is because this piece is used to set up click-stops. I don't believe it has any impact on operations.
