After receiving a call on a 7316 phone. Can I transfer that call to another party on the outside.

ex: get a call from a party , they would like to speak to a Doctor about a particular issue. I call that Doctor office on the second line. Can i connect the two calls and hang up. Or would I have to speak to my phone vendor?

yes if you have DS(disconnect supervision) on your system
if not the lines will get hung

Just try announced transfer.
1. After receiving the call press "TRANSFER"
2. Dial the DN for the DR (or use softkey programmed for that DN).
3. Don't hang up, when the Dr. answers announce the call,.
4. If the Dr. wants the call press the "JOIN" key or hang up and the call will be transfersd.
5. If the Dr. does NOT want to take the call, press "Cancel" and let the caller know the Dr. is not available....
