Good Morning.

(BCM 50)

I purchased some like new phones and didn't realize that I would be getting a 7316, not a 7316E model. I'm not sure what all differences are, but do know the small speakerphone button located between mute and headset isn't present (just plastic).

When I connected the phone to a "new" DN, it comes up in Element Manager as a T7316M/7310 instead of a 7316E.

Also when I go into button assignment through programming from a terminal, it shows as 10+24 buttons not 16+8 as all the 7316E's show.

It seems that it is starting with button 1 being located where I'm used to seeing button 4 on a 7316E.

Sorry if this is confusing. Basically, is there a way I can assign or force the model to a 7316E so that the button assignments are the same?

I'd like the Line Buttons to be consistent with the other phones we have.

Thanks,

Slim

No the 7316 acts pretty much like the 7310 you can not use the buttons the same as the 7316E. Sorry but if you need the E version then that's a different phone, no way to upgrade as far as I know.

Thank you for the reply. Not what I wanted to hear, but at least I can stop the witch hunt.

Best,

Somehow I think i used to move the key around once it was programmed.
In other words lines go on buttons 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 on left side/row as default on M7310 but then used F*81 to move all the lines up aftwards?

Maybe a dream.
