7234 with 48 button add on BLF Issue 2

Wondering if anyone has seen this before.

A customer has a BCM 1000 running release 3.7, cumulative patch 2 applied. There is a 48 button add on module programmed with autodials. The autodials work. All phones except for six new ones are 7316 phones. The six new phones are 7316E phones. The receptionist can't see when the 7316E phones are off hook, but she can see status for the 7316 sets. The autodial key works to call the phone, but won't display status. I've tried moving the autodial off the add on to the 7324 and get the same issue.

Anyone run into this before?

It's not very old. Part number is NT8B42AC-03 REL05.

But anything is possible. I may have to go to Nortel on this one.

In case anyone wants to know the solution, here it is.

The 7324+addon was on a 32 port single density station module that had been there since the system was installed with release 2.5. The new 7316E phones are on a 32 port double density module. I moved the 7324+addon to a port on the 32 port double density card and all the indicators began working properly for both the 7316 and 7316E sets.

Go figure. I never would have guessed that would be the fix, but it worked. It was a last ditch resort before calling Nortel and opening a case.
