722c Fails to Communicate

My hp printer will refuse to print after printing for awhile. I will restart and it will be alright but it hangs up my pc so I cannot save what I want to print. The error message is the famous "The printer has lost communication with your etc, etc, etc. Any ideas? I have already updated the drivers and the same problem remains the same in whichever program I am running.

have you tried a new printer cable? Also try the printer on a different PC. . .could be any number of conflicts. ALways uninstall and reinstall using the new driver. Have you added anything new in the way of hardware or software? That always messes me up. What OS are you using?
