I have a commercial client site with a Cisco 3745. We do site to site VPN to another 3745 fine. We've tested from the inside to several remote servers using Cisco VPN clients, Nortel VPN clients, Checkpointclients and MS VPN on WinXP and W2000. Everything works except the WinXP clients going to one site. We can get to that site with a W2K pc.
To restate the issue. We can get to a W2K VPN server using a W2K pro workstation and the MS VPN client set to automatic or PPTP. Using the same setup on a WXP pro workstation with the same setup we authenticate then get the 721 error. Clients from the same company can get to this W2K server from other sites using W2k, W98 and WXP.
The same workstations and client setups can get to several other MS VPN servers and with appropriate clients can get to Cisco, Nortel, Checkpoint VPN servers.
Any hints and please no "have you enabled GRE", it's obviously working.
